Literary Liaisons

A blog about writing and all things story…

WOW! Is 2009 really over?

I traveled for a few months in 09, namely, a month and a half in Australia. Sydney was awe inspiring. The trees are magical, the gardens where I worked on my ‘Zen’ mind were breathtaking, the walks in Sydney’s old town, called ‘The Rocks’ was haunting. Writing at a harborside cafe was my favorite thing. I loved Sydney!
Then, my mother moved to Seattle for 6 months and then I developed a few health problems. Yes, I get the connection between mother’s visit and my bad health. But, I’m over it now and successfully keeping my cancer at bay.
So, 09 was not a productive writing year for me. It’s one of those times when life just got in the way. I’ve dusted myself off and re-committed to finishing my novel. 2010 looks to be a banner writing year for me.
