Willamette Writer’s Conference 2012

Conference time is upon us!

My brother ClarkKohanek will teach his popular class Visual Storytelling, again this year at the Willamette Writer’s Conference August 3-5th. In addition he will teach his new class, Realm Of The Heart:
“Fearful hearts often hide behind walls of twisted logic.” It’s been said that plot deals with “the kingdom of the mind,” and story “the realm of the heart.” Realm Of The Heart examines the poetics of human frailty found in characters who draw us into their emotional worlds. The workshop addresses techniques and tools that will help authors express passion, need and hope, creating memorable moments and unique perspectives for all audiences willing to take the journey.”

Realm Of The Heart:  FRIDAY from 3:30- 5:00 pm
Sunday: Visual Storytelling Part I: Content,
Contest, and Subtext in Screenwriting. 1:30-3:00PM
Sunday: Visual Storytelling Part II: Thinking in Pictures 3:30-4:30 PM

Daily workshop schedules including Larry Brooks, Randal Johnson, Mary Andonian, Elizabeth Lyon, Bill Johnson, Gene Del Vecchi and soooo many more – WW Conference pdf  Say hello if you’re there.

Sounds very interesting. Unfortunately, I've decided not to attend this year. I'm pursuing my writing in other ways.
