A Cake Made for a Writer

We writers usually work in a vacuum and don’t often get celebrated or have anything to celebrate, so when great merriment happens I like to share. Yesterday was my 60th birthday, which okay, birthday, yippie skippie, I know.

Anyway because I am married to the most thoughtful man in the world, I got a cake made for a writer. My husband20151221_192148_resized cake had a local Gluten Free bakery, PinkaBella Cakes, make a YUMMY chocolate cake with the top half designed as my novel, Return To Sender, and the bottom half as my novel currently in progress, Garden of Lies.

Oh yes, I got a lovely gift, and had a great dinner out with my guys, brother Clark and husband Joe, and we drank 20151221_171018_resizedscotch and ate some fabulous food at Arnie’s where we had a wonderful view and a fun bartender and waitress, but that cake took the night. I just had to share.

Happy Holidays everybody.

Cheers, Mindy
